U.N. adviser nets $2M in Upper East Side

Marc Jacquand and Rhona Jacquand bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath condo at 201 E. 80th St. in the Upper East Side from Karen Murray for $2 million on April 14.

Murray paid $2.2 million for the condo in June 2008. The 1,723-square-foot condo, Unit #7I is one of the 98 units in The Richmond, a 24-story condo development built in 1926.

Mr. Jacquand is a strategic planning adviser at the United Nations Office for the Middle East Peace Process. He most recently was a policy adviser at United Nations. Prior to that, he was a program manager for the United Nations Capital Development Fund.

He majored in math and philosophy at Ecole Sainte Genevieve and graduated from the HEC School of Management with a master's degree in economics. He also received a master's degree in economic and political development from Columbia University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 264 condo sales in Upper East Side during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $905,000.
